AAAPC supports an inclusive environment and we welcome parents with caring responsibilities. A room is available on Level 7 Ingkarni Wardli for parents and children. Breastfeeding is welcome throughout the conference venue.

For delegates with a disability or medical condition which impacts on your ability to move around campus, the University of Adelaide campus maps may assist you in planning how to get to your rooms, teaching areas and other areas you may need throughout the day. It includes the location of lifts, ramps, accessible paths, accessible toilets and accessible parking spaces.

The conference dinner is also open to partners and extra tickets are available for purchase during registration.

Adelaide weather

July is one of the coldest and wettest months of the year in Adelaide. It is advisable to carry an umbrella with you at all times. Average temperatures range from a minimum of 80c to a maximum of 160c.

Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunches will be held in the Atrium. Lunches will be served as an informal stand-up buffet. We endeavour to ensure delegates with special and dietary requirements are catered for. Should you require particular assistance, please make a note on your registration form.

Continuing professional development points

The AAAPC Annual Research Conference has been endorsed by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).

ACRRM members must register their details at the registration desk and the conference organisers will inform ACRRM of your attendance. RNZCGP and RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) members will be provided with a certificate of attendance. 

A certificate of attendance will be provided that will include evidence of CPD hours to meet the requirements of professional colleges, including the Nurses' Registration Board. If you would like to request a certificate in order to claim this credit, please contact us at aaapc.secretariat@anu.edu.au.

Dress code

The dress code for the conference and all social functions is as you wish. 

Conference evaluation

Delegates are encouraged to complete the conference evaluation as it assists us to plan future conferences. The conference evaluation can be completed online.

Internet access

Free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is provided for checking emails and basic web browsing. The code will be made available to delegates at the conference.


Please note that luggage cannot be stored at the University of Adelaide during the Conference.
