Welcome to Western Sydney University

The Peter Shergold Building is located in the Western Sydney University Parramatta CBD Campus on the corner of Smith Street and Macquarie Street.

Pedestrian access is available from Macquarie Street.

If you wish to get around Sydney by public transport, you will need an Opal card or contactless payment facilities to use on trains, trams and buses. You can purchase an Opal card or, download the free app (from Apple App Store or Google Play Store) or, enjoy the convenience of travelling and paying your fare with a credit or debit card or device.  For further information on Opal and contactless payment options, please go to Opal.

The closest train station is Parramatta Train Station, a short 3-minute walk.

Shuttle buses run between WSU campuses across Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Parramatta and Penrith campuses. You can view schedules and also track shuttle buses in real-time using the Shuttle Tracker.

You can plan your tram or train trip using the Trip Planner | transportnsw.info.

The Peter Shergold Building and Western Sydney University has over 7,000 onsite parking across the campus (refer to Parramatta City map below) and further information can be found here. The closest public parking places are:

General information

Sydney weather

August in Sydney generally has pleasant, but cool, temperatures and moderate rainfall. It is advisable to carry an umbrella with you at all times. Average temperatures range from a minimum of 110C to a maximum of 180C.

Dress code

The dress code for the conference and all social functions is as you wish.

The conference evaluation form will be e-mailed to you after the conference. You are encouraged to complete the conference evaluation as it assists us to plan future conferences.
